"After my 5th grade son's first day at The Academy (January of 2009), when he got in the car after school he said, 'best first day of school ever!' The Academy has been exactly what my son has needed. He has always been an A & B student - but has always been easily bored at every school he has previously attended, which inevitably lead to him being the class clown and seeking to be the center of attention.

However at Texas Empowerment Academy - not only is the work more challenging and engaging - but the 'old school' tradition of teachers being an extended part of the family is very much alive and well. My son has thrived under the 'no-nonsense, no-excuses' learning environment. I only hope that they are teaching 10-12th grade by the time he's ready so that he can finish high school at The Academy!

"I use to attend Texas Empowerment but now attend Elgin High. I didn't like the school at first because i thought it was too small and too much work. But overall it is a wonderful school. Now that i am at Elgin, my behavior has gotten better, my grades have gotten better, and I even have higher standards for myself than i had before....

"This is my girls first year at Texas Empowerment and what I've seen first hand is very impressive."

"When my husband and I made the decision to switch from a traditional public school to the Texas Empowerment Academy, we needed a school that would academically challenge our children (we have three in the school). Texas Empowerment Academy did not disappoint us!

As concerned and involved parents, we both appreciate a school that sets high academic and social standards for all students and encourages and, at times, reminds parents of their ultimate responsibility for their child's education - as it should be. The teachers and administrative staff are all top-notch and our children's academic results just keep getting better. We love Texas Empowerment Academy and would highly recommend it to any parent seeking an excellent and comprehensive education for their child(ren)."

"This is a great school, if you're a parent that wants to get involved with your child and be assured that they will get a great education. My daughter was having problems in school, the principle and the vice-principle had given up on my child and was ready to send her to a alternative school.

But I knew that potential in my child, and in less than 4 years, my child will be graduating a year early, plus will have 30 to 32 hours of college credit because she has been able to participle in the dual credit program at ACC. T.E.A. has been a God-send, but as a parent I had to do my part, and T.E.A. did theirs."

"My child has been at this school for two years and I have seen so much progress in her academically as well as personally. This school definitely motivates the children to work at a much higher level then they would in regular public school. The program is challanging and as a parent you have to be totally committed to your childs education because the level of work is not only challenging for the child, but the parent as well. The education and study skills that my child has learned will stay with her forever. The commitment and dedication of the principal and the teachers, and staff are clear from the minute you enter the campus. As a parent, I would recommend the school to any parent if your child needs to be challenged academically.

"If you are looking for a quality school for your child, this would be the school for you. My two sons attended this school for four years and it really prepared them for re-entry to public school. The small class sizes helped them get the individualized attention they needed to perform well on standardized tests. Safety and discipline are a big factor at this school.
